I started running 8-12 miles/week on the treadmill in July 2009 and ran my first 5K in Nov 09. From there, I started running outside and adding mileage. I'm married with 2 young daughters (5 and 3 yrs old).
48F. Evening run in Lawton, OK. I ran from my hotel, which apparently is not in a good part of town...whoops. Kinda shady, but I just needed a short recovery run.
