83F.  8:05 AP.  Today was the day of dirty looks.  I don't see many people out and about where I run, but I passed a guy today who was tending to his goats, and gave him a wave.  His glare almost pierced right through me.  Then there were 2 people out for a walk (this a first on this particular road) and when I said good morning they gave me the most confused stare ever, and said nothing.  What's so strange about a guy running around in the middle of nowhere wearing a fuel belt, reflective belt, and no shirt anyway?  Weirdos.

Too funny! I had a homeless guy stick his foot out & try to trip me running along the river today! I just growled and then smiled at him & kept running! Great miles today Joe!

Nice miles Joe- I tell ya you can never guess what people are going to do. I have had runs where people are going out of their way to say hello and others where I was afraid they might shoot me because I said hello.... oh well... I suggest painting a shirt on.

Maybe they weren't actually Texas...?

Strange, usually out in the country I find folks to be more accepting of half-naked runners--although they do stare. I find when I run in town the shirtless look is not...approved. Whatever!

Haha April ... I am sure if you ran shirtless you would get a lot of stares, although they would probably be of a difft variety than the ones Joe gets! lol

Burt - The goat guy definitely thought I was after one of his goats.

JG - never had an attempted tripping before!

Dan - ignore everyone, that's the lesson here.

IJR - I know, pretty non-Texan behavior there

April - usually I get waves from people driving by (I think they recognize me by now) but I guess when you're after their goats it's a different story

JG - leaving that one alone!
