81F.  8:07 AP.  Slog miles.  I actually felt pretty good to start and found a solid pace early, but unfortunately forgot half my gatorade.  I was almost sure that the 20 oz I had would not cut it for me for a 2-hour run in the heat, but I decided to keep going anyway and (not surprisingly) faded badly as I dried out.  Oh well, next time I'll turn around to retrieve the fluids I need...lesson learned.  Took the direct route home which cut out about 0.4 miles, thus I was a little short of the planned 15.

I'm picturing you coming home looking like a dried prune. Or maybe a raisin.

Possibly an avocado, just for reference sake. Nice running Joe - and happy you learned a lesson the er easy way?

The heat is brutal. We have gotten some relief this week..lucky us! Hopefully yours arrives soon too. Great run with the whole profoundly dehydrated factor.

Nice workout, you amaze me continuously cranking out long runs! I read your post before I went out for my run & it prompted me to take an extra gatorade along, which helped ... thanks! :) Of course, the need for it was probably 1/10th of what it was in Tx compared to PA! :)

Burt - close - sundried tomato

Dan - I though I had actually learned that lesson before, but I must have a short-term memory.

April - enjoy those temps, one day we'll cool off...just not sure when

JG - being dehydrated is always fun, I find myself saying "deathmarch" every other step, not too inspiring
