in Houston - finally felt up to plodding through 4+ miles in the evening.  Stomach still ain't right...It's gone from looking distended, down to emaciated, and then back - now appears I'm about 5 months pregnant (if I'm carrying low is it going to be a girl?).  Anyway it held up ok but still did not like to be jostled around too much.

AM:  76F, 90%.  6 @ 8:08 AP.  This week I'm just keeping it to 4-7 mile slow runs so I don't get a repeat of the plague hole I've fallen into in the past.  I'm staying with my parents in Houston this week with the kids...no responsibilities!  So probably can get away with easy doubles every day.

PM:  89F, 65%.  4 @ 7:45 AP.  Heat index juuuuust under a hundred.  Good thing I waited until after 7pm.  Only 4 months pregnant this evening.  Hopefully soon, I'll barely be showing.

PM:  94F.  5 @ 8:07 AP.  If anything exists that's more relaxing than running in central Houston at rush hour in a 103-degree heat index, I'd like to hear it...

AM:  80F, 80%.  12 @ 7:47 AP.  Ran from my parents' to Memorial Park to do a loop there, but was feeling like I'd finally overcome the plague so I decided to add another 3-mile loop at the park.  Got a nasty stomach cramp after the 2nd loop, so I took a good 3-4 minute break at a water fountain to stretch it out and rehydrate; that was pretty much successful.  Then I started melting a little on the way back home and was generally happy the run was over with.  Alright, that's about all I have to say about that.

PM:  85F, 70%.  4 @ 8:22 AP.  Great steak dinner tonight, had to wait a couple hours after that, then got out @ ~9pm after watching Rupp win the 10k in the trials.  I finished my first 5k faster than all those so-called professionals finished their 10k.
